MacLeod to contest Masters

Castrol backed Sam MacLeod will contest the Zandvoort Masters race in Holland this weekend (4-6 July) with Van Amersfoort Racing. Sam, fresh from a winning weekend in the Cooper Tyres British Formula 3 is sure to be fighting at the front in the Kumho Tyre event which sees a coming together of the many of the best F3 competitors from around the world. In its 23-year history, the Masters have been won by drivers bound for F1 12 times. 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton and fellow current grand prix racers Nico Hulkenberg, Jules Bianchi and Valtteri Bottas are among previous victors. There will be two 40-minute free practice sessions on Friday where the Van Amersfoort team will focus on mechanical set up changes and tyre evaluation. Two 20 minute qualifying sessions on Saturday ahead of the 60 minute race on Sunday at 16.15pm (local time).
